Headlight Lenses

Hello All,

I'm new to this GM forum, but so far it looks great. I have a 99 Tahoe 2 door,4WD.

I was wondering what options are out there for replacing my dull headlight lenses. I have seen hundereds of items listed on ebay. Everything ranging from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars. All I would like to do now is upgrade the lenses to clear and maybe silverstar bulbs.

Are the lenses and bulb holders one piece? $50each?

Can you just get the lense cover?

Any vendors you've used that are resonable?

Ebay scares me on some of there stuff. I have bought junk there before.

Is this the OBS (old body style) truck or NBS (new body style)? OBS were notoriuos for this. Well, really you can just use plastic polish and it will clean them up! I used 2400 grit cloth all the way to 6000 grit then polished with plastic polish. Looked brand new. Mine were dulling also on my `97. I already had Silverstars installed. Oh, 5-6 dollars for the polish, cheaper then new lenses, as you have to buy the WHOLE thing.

Thanks, I'll go buy a local detail shop and get the polish. Randy
