So what is this?

My apologies in advance, so if this is an easy answer I certainly won't be insulted. While replacing a trim bezel on my power seat (clutzy Bigfoot here!) that I broke I found this plastic piece under the drivers seat. I cannot seem to figure out where it goes. So if anybody has a clue I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

IIRC, it covers the bolt at the rear of the seat (on the floor) so rear seat passengers won't be offended by seeing an exposed bolt. I'd bet that after about 10 years, most of them will have been kicked enough to remove them and put them where yours was.

On my '05, I found a rubber / plastic protector thingeeee. Hard to explain. Appears to cover sharp metal edges. But, it is about five feet long! It was on the back shelf behind the crew cab's back seat. It honestly fits nothing on that truck.

Thanks mmmikkke you are absoulutely right about the part. The reason I couldn't figure out where it went was that none of these covers were missing on my truck. Looks like a line worker must have stuffed an extra under my seat. Guess I'm partly responsible for GM's financial troubles; I got an extra part in my truck. Thanks again.

Funny, I found that part under my passanger seat the first time I cleaned my truck. Never did figure where it came from. Like you none of my covers are missing. So I will take some responsiblity for the financal troubles also.
