GM SiriusConnect

The GM SiriusConnect was scheduled for release in November 2005 (at least that is what a Sirius web site states: http://www.orbitcast.com/archives/sirius-h...iusconnect.html.

 

Has anybody installed one, found one, or even saw one.

 

I have called a couple of Sirius distributers and most act like they have not heard of it. A few say it was delayed by GM and will not be available until March. I do not believe GM has any involvement with the product or its release. Any information appreciated.

I don't have any specific information but it I have been watching for its release. The following website http://www.thesiriusstore.com/product_info...rius-car-tuners has been showing that the release date keeps getting bumped out.

 

However, I did notice the picture of the unit has changed to show specific wiring harnesses and now it appears there is no normal sirius antenna, so maybe it will use the existing xm antenna, which would be great.

Soundgate already makes an adapter that will allow Sirius on XM ready factory radios for 03 and up. You have to use the Sirius tuner made for Kenwood.
