Transfer Case Service

Dear Technician,

 

I have a 2003 Yukon 5.3L Z71 with 51,000 miles. It's time to change the transfer case fluid. Can I perform this service myself or is there a special reson why a shop must do it. Does it require a special flush?

 

last 8 on VIN: 3R179293

 

How many quarts of the fluid is required?

I don't see any reason you can't do it yourself. I can't tell you much more without knowing which transfer case you have.
