2000 silver 5.3 stalls

I have a 2000 Silverado 4x4 with a 5.3L no mods, that, at random times, I will go to start and it will run for 1/2 a second, then die. I go to restart it right away and same thing, run 1/2 second, then die. If I'm fast enough I can turn the switch on and off and keep it running.

I will give up, come back 15 minutes later and, walla, it starts right up and works fine for rest of day, week, or when ever it decides to do it again.

I've noticed that it has these "moments" after it has set a while and when you are in a hurry to go somewhere.

It has new fuel filter, cleaned throttle body, it acts more like an ignition problem could this be a pcm prob.?

Any help, ideas, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mark

I too would like to know what can cuase this. My '01 4.8L just did this today for the first time ever. I went to move it after I got to work and it wouldn't idle and kept dying. It would stay running if I kept my foot on the gas to keep the rpms up. When I got back today, it started fine and hsa driven normal for the rest of the day. I was thinking it could be the MAF, but I have no idea.
