Couple friends and I took a trip up to the mountains today to validate my new 4:56 gears, rear Detroit Locker and front Detroit Truetrac. I must say I am pretty impressed with the gears and lockers. The snow was the very soft powdery stuff that is hard to get traction and well over 2 feet deep at the top. Sure wheel speed is the only way to make any progress without sinking.

That was some nice SFA action. No wheel hop, just smooth power. Nice job!

It was pretty fun. Good validation run for the new cogs. It is pretty hard to generate HP at over 10,000 ft since there isn’t enough air to make the engine happy. Some spots had no snow while on the other side of the mountian had several feet.
