fuel filter

hi i am trying to repalce my fuel filter but for some reason when i try and spin the fuel line threaded nut it just twists the fuel line instead of spinning freely any ideas i will try and attach a pic. the truck is a 84 gmc half ton with a 350 and the filter is on the carb.

You might try a small brass or plastic hammer. Give the line and fitting some light tapping. might work, might not.

Also, try some PB Blaster or other penetrant on the line/nut. Spray is on and walk away. Let is soak in.
