annoying sound

Hello all,

I just traded my 04 chev 2wd ext cab in for a 06 chev 2wd crew cab. I've only had it for a week now, but I've already noticed an annoying sound that wasn't present with my old ext cab.

The sound is kind a deep whistle with a reverb quality to it. It is faint, but definitely there. I hear it coming from the passenger side, almost from behind the passenger seat. It is not speed sensitive, but rather rpm sensitive. I can recreate it almost positively around the 1700-2000 rpm range. It also seems to get worse/louder once the vehicle is warmed up.

I know if I take it to the dealer, I will get the "could not reproduce" run-around. Do you guys have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I haven't heard that but I also recently purchased an 06 sierra crew cab and am having problems with my seats making an annoying poping sound coming from the back rest about 3/4 of the way up. I have the buckets with 6 way adjusts. Both drivers and passenger sides are doing it. I drive in stop and go traffic and it is extremely annoying to hear a pop every time you hit the brakes and then when you speed up.

I have taken it to the dealer 4 times already. They keep trying something new each time, but so far it doesn't go away. I want them to change the seats out completely but they want to keep messing around until I go away.

It's at the dealer now... to be continued, I guess.
