I recently posted that the Radio/Clock, Climate control and DIC displays do not dim when the headlights are turned on. I took it back to the dealer on Monday and the tech said that everything was fine and to just use the dimmer wheel next to the headlight switch to adjust the brightness; he also said that the BCM would have nothing to do with dimming the lights. I also stopped at another dealer and spoke with a service manager: he had no suggestions to offer me. I then e-mailed GM customer service and was told that they only have information from the owners manual (I have the same thing), and that my best resource for tech assistance will be a Chevrolet Dealer Service Department, of which I've been to two already. If anyone on this Forum has a Avalanche or Silverado with the Electronic Climate control, would you go and turn on your headlights and see if the mentioned displays (Radio, CC and DIC) dim automaticly? I really thank you all.
