exhaust set up?

I know I should know this but what is the muffler config on the 2000 Silverado? is it center In/offset out?  I'm thinking about ordering a muffler to replace the original. Not sure what one to go with yet. how long will the flow master mufflers last before they rust. does anyone know of a company that makes a good sounding muffler that is made of stainless steel and can be a direct replacement of the original muffler?

the flowmaster 50 series SUV muffler is not stainless thats all i know cuz i have one
