100,000 miles and some problems!!!

Hey guys...

My truck just rolled over 100,000 miles!!! :(

Still runs very strong just have a couple problems I want to fix. Something is squeaking really bad when I hit the brakes from a slow speed and let the truck stop hard. I have no clue. The shocks are brand new, maybe it's the bushings? I dunno.

Also, my brake pedal squeaks when I let go of it really fast. Any fix for that?

I love my truck and really want to keep it for a long time, but the rattles are getting on my nerves. Has anyone sound deadened the entire truck? I am about to do that but was wondering if you guys have any experience with it? I sound deadened my doors and it made a HUGE diff. I am going to sound deaden the dash, floor, and anything else I can. Good idea?

Also, the 100,000 mile service: what should be done?

I have: changed the oil

flushed the coolant

new spark plugs and wires

new pcm (wait 4 me tune)

new shocks

what else?

Change the differential fluid, tranny fluid and filter, air filter and I would take a close look at your brakes since it sounds like your on wear indicator. Balance your tires and check your u-joints and carrier bearing since if any of those need attention, it will cause some rattles over time.

How are you going to sound deaden it?..........I wouldn't mind doing mine just to quiet it down some cruising down the road..... :(

Me too! Did you use dynamat?

I am going to use the dynamat extreme and just put it where it can fit underneath the dash. But I am going to take out the seats and the carpet and put sound deadening all underneath there. I am also going to use the spray for those hard to reach areas.
