Is there a reg cab, reg box 2500?

I know they dont make regular cab, regular box 2500's now, but did they ever? Im looking for a 92 or newer 2500 and was hoping to get one with a regular cab and regular box but im starting to think im looking for something that doesnt exist. Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure they made a regular cab long box, but not regular box. Hope this helps.

I just went on the GM site and built a #2500 regular cab long box in 2x4 & 4x4 so its available.

I guess the term regular box confuses me. I though the 8' was the regular and the 6' was a short box. I know you can get a reg cab (2door 2-3 pas) reg box (8'). I have one.

Regular Box = 8'

Short Box = 6'

 

Or atleast that is what I always thought. I don't know of a 2500 Short Box, Regular Cab; if that is what you are looking for.

Long=8'

Standard=6'6"

Short=5'8"

2500 available in reg cab config with Long bed only.

They changed the name of the regular box to long box when the the crew cab LD came along and the short box 5'7" came on line the 6' box became the Standard box and the 8' went from standard to long box.

I think when the 1500 crew came out, the terms that have been banty'd about is

 

Long = 8'

Short = 6'6"

Shorty = 5'8"

 

The 1500 crew kinda mess things up for naming I guess.

 

Just think, in the past you also had step-side which then turned into the sport-side. On much older trucks, the step-side was an 8' or 6'6" bed as well.

8' Stepside bed? I don't think I've ever seen one of those. However, I did see a OBS Crew Stepside about 2 weeks ago.
