Fabtech 6" lift question

I recently had a Fabtech 6" lift kit installed on my '05 Sierra. If I measured correctly it seems like the front end actually went up about 7.5" Is this possible? Also the rear of the truck is still about an 1" - 1.5" higher than the front. So I measured the rear lift blocks just out of curiosity and they are a 5" block, also has the add a leaf. I really don't like the feel of the rear of the truck with the add a leaf, it really stiffened it up. How much does the add a leaf affect the height of the truck and does it have any other purpose? I was thinking about having the add a leaf removed and was just concerned as to what affect this would have. Would it be possible to remove the add a leaf, leave the rear 5" block in and adjust the front end down to level? It should only be about 1/2" or so I would think. How do you adjust the front, is it by the torsion bars? Thanks for any help on this.
