I noticed a local dealer has about 10 new sierra denali trucks with quadrasteer.

Anyone else see any out there?

I guess I haven't swung by the chevy dealer lately

Maybe thats why you havent seen em.  They are made by gmc at the moment and not by chevy

I didnt notice the price.  I was on the main road going back to work after going to arbys for lunch.  Didnt have time to stop and look.

IIRC, it's not an option.  It's included in the Denali only, so for 2003, there's no option price.  Maybe next year they'll make it optional on the rest of the trucks.  I heard some crazy numbers like $2500-$4000 thrown around a while back.

I rode in one with my Mom while she test drove it (she's 69 this year).  We drove it on the Saturday before Easter.

Her comment? - "It's like driving the Honda.  What's the big deal?"

My reply - "Mom, do you realize this truck is only 18 inches shorter than my truck?  I have to plan ahead when I drive mine because I can't turn within some city blocks!  Some school busses turn in less space than I need."

The AWS is VERY nice.  Everything else is icing on the cake.

The dealer here has a couple of them.  I saw one of the ones they sold out on the road this weekend.  That rear wheel steer makes it look a little odd.

I've seen one up my way at the GMC dealer. Price tag was $44,000+ and the sales man I was talking to while my truck was being washed after service told me he heard the Quadsteer was nearly $7000 as an add on to the truck. Not that you can get it as an option but that it added that much to the denali price.  What a beautiful truck. I'd love to drive one but it would force me to sell my soul to have one. So I'll stick with my 2000 Silverado for now.

I seen a couple out there so far - looks pretty good.   The video Delphi has on this option is pretty good too.

Hillhound,

For Sh**s and giggles I priced one @ edmunds and the Steering Package "NYS" MSRP is $6,420!!!

Sounds great, but too rich for my blood!  :)

I'm pretty darned sure I'll have one eventually.  But I KNOW I'm going to wait until they been out a while and the bugs get worked out and the price comes down.

It will be on the half-ton 4x4's for 2003, also. The option includes the cost of four-wheel drive-at least that is what the press release on GMMedia.com, said.  I believe it was posted several months ago. A search should bring it up.

"beginning in the first quarter of 2002 also will be offered on other GMC Sierra wideside and Chevy Silverado fleetside pickups"

I work for a Chevy dealer in orlando,FL and we just got some quadrasteer silverado's in this past week-  If anyone is interested in the Chevy over the GMC model.  I really like the feature but im not sure its worth the extra cost. I will bring my digital camera into work if anyone wants to see some pics?

One of the local bankers has one it looks different from the back just setting there.  I saw it moving only once and then I didn't stay behind him long enough to see him turn, my only questions is what is it on a SWB truck?  The guys who need something like that are driving crew cab LWB trucks now that is where it will make a difference in my book.
