Yesterday, we saw the trades of Daunte Culpepper, formerly of the Minnesota Vikings go to the Miami Dolphins, and Drew Brees, formerly of the San Diego Chargers go the the New Orleans Saints. I wonder now how the Dolphins and Vikings will suffice in the 2006 season. Not saying that Culpepper was a terrible QB, he really wasn't. The stats show this. The problem is that when he's "on the roll", he's a darn good passer, and he's built like an LB, but when he gets the least bit confused or flustered, he is absolute crap. I just don't think that Miami should put a lot of hype on this guy, because he's still rehabbing from his knee surgery, probably won't be at 100% come PreSeason. Add the fact that Brad Johnson is "back" and will have the starting job now, the part that he's wanted since his return as a backup to Culpepper.

Of course, it won't matter if the Vikes were able to bring back Joe Montana or Dan Marino and start them at their revered positions, we'd still be a crap team. Maybe we can entice T.O to come over and do a "Moss redux". :sigh:

I actually have never been a huge fan of Brad Johnson, and I think if Culpepper can get back to 90% he will help the Dolphins.

Drew Brees? Alot of hype out of college, did nothing for a while, then was a good QB. Not sure about his consistency, but hey, better than who the Saints had.

The one you didnt mention was THE EDGE going to the cardinals. Ok, so not a trade, free agnecy, but still. I know he wants to get paid, but going from a team that def has a shot at the Super Bowl to the Cards...shows you they dont play to win, they play for a paycheck.
