Adding an amp to Bose system

Wondering if any here could tell me which PAC interface i need to add an amp to my Bose system. I already have an amp and sub hooked to the system but the interface i was sold coverts a high level signal to a RCA style cable. As in i had to tap into the rear door speaker wire. Is this a good way to do this or is there a better way? Thinking about trying the interface that installs under the cup holders in the center counsel. I have a 05 crew cab LT with Bose and On-Star. 1/2 ton,4x4.

I went to two different car audio places and they were not sure which one i needed or were just plain stupid. I prefer to know what i need before i walk into a store and let someone behind the counter tell me what to buy, thanks.

I thought they new Bose setups included a subwoofer?

In my car I tapped into the Bose amp at the line level outs. Keep in mind that if you tap into the rear speakers you will need a line level converter.

Maybe someone here could tell you were the bose AMp is at, and just tap in there, or maybe you already have one and don't know it. Bose... All high's no lows must be a bose.

Good luck

PAC adapter AOEM-GM24 is the one you're looking for. I just ordered one for myself. If you look back a ways there are a few posts talking about it. One even has a link to the silveradoss.com forum with pictures I think. Got a good start on my box last weekend and will be needing this soon, can't wait! The Bose just doesn't have enough bump for me either!

Thanks, think i will order it this week. Yeah they dont have enough low end thump. I have a Kenwood 800 watt and a Sony 12" sub. Neither were my first choice but its what i had in the garage so i decided to try them. It sounds pretty good with them, i just figure a better line converter might make it better. I made a custom box for my ext. cab but when i got my crew cab it wouldnt fit under the back seat. For now i just have it sitting on the floor behind the drivers seat but i do want to buy or make a box that will go under the back seat. Or even behind it, but that means buying 2- 10" subs so it might wait awhile.

The crew is a tight fit to say the least. If you put anything under the rear seat, you won't be able to fold it down for large items. The seat back almost touches the floor when flipped forward. I'm making mine to go behind the seat, between the jack and the driver plastic bulge thing. Only have to remove the lug wrench and relocate. Two 8" Kicker Solo-barics, old round style, and an old A300 Precision Power amp. Those little things kick like you wont believe. People always thought they were a 10" sub. Keep us posted on your progress too! :D

there is a sub made by pioneer i think that is a flat sub, it is a 12" but it is only like 4" deep and hits really hard

I was looking at those today.

I don't think they hit very hard at all...I listened to them in 3 different boxes too. Sure looked cool though.

    • Still looks like a rivet to me in the pics, I don't see a nut and none of the pics show the head of the screw. But if you says so.....
    • Thanks for all the help so far!   I did try right from 2026 right down to 2021, and only from 2023 down lets me select the option for tire psi change, but I get the vehicle not supported error!   I'll definitely try it under Chevrolet after work today, and I'll get the sensor number from gm for my truck tire sensors. And I'll let you know if it works for me under Chevrolet!   And if that doesn't work, I'm going to guess that what @Atlas said about maybe I have a different body control module could be true!
    • From where I'm sitting this sounds like a compatibility problem. I'm assuming the 2007 was a 900-series truck, and not an 800-series (they were sold side-by-side in dealerships that model year), since it starts and runs.   This is why I HATE post-2006 vehicles. Everything becomes a huge problem when you try to keep the thing running for longer than the manufacturer has designed it to.    I can't remember when Global-A architecture started - either '10 or '11. For your sake, you had better hope it's '11, or you're going to be spending some BIG money to correct this cluster-eff. That's something you need to find out before doing anything else. You may have several computers bricked ... but the fact that it runs tells me you MIGHT be ok here.     EDIT: Just did a quick refresher. You're screwed. This is Global-A. The 2 systems are NOT compatible in the slightest. Once you get the correct engine in there that IS compatible, you're going to need to see how many computers are locked. Absolute NIGHTMARE to straighten out, too. Your buddy might be better off cutting his losses and finding something else.   Welcome to post-2006 vehicle electronics. This is why I quit the industry, and drive nothing built after 1994. This stuff takes all the fun out of wrenching!

    • True, hard to say what differences there may or may not be between Chev and GM as well as a production year or mid year part change either.    I just found it odd that under the Sierra choice on the Autel that many of the last few years of production year did not include the choice of changing the tire pressure but if that is an Autel thing or a GM thing as to why the choices were not there. Knowing what tpms sensors are on the truck should give some guidance into which choices on the tool even make sense to try as I wouldn't give up just yet with the tool but I guess he will see what if anything he comes up with if he finds out a bit more info and tries a few more things on the Autel.
