2500HD Brakes

Just got my truck back from tire rotation and balance. I had the shop check the brakes again and still they say they are good. Plenty of pad on all four. Was wondering if this is normal at 88K miles. I do about 20 percent of my driving towing a travel trailer. Has anyone else experienced the long lasting of factory installed brakes?

The shocks had to be replaced but the brakes are still good.

Yup, 98k on mine and still going strong. My front rotors are a little warped, but I ain't fixin em until they are broke!! :shakehead:

Well to add to this discussion, my wife's tahoe just got back from tires and she needs brakes. According to the shop her rear rotors are rusted and swelled as well as the pads being down to 3/32nds. Now on her truck she only has 50K and they want to put on new rotors and pads. Is this a frequent occurance with the tahoes?

Is this something I should take to Chevy as the shop is saying they see this alot with these vehicles?

Why the difference?

Got me stumped.
