Yes, some people will receive FREE Westers custom computer tuning courtesy of TBYRNE Motorsports! Every 10th tuning order that comes in between now and Wednesday, May 24th will be a "no charge" order. Some of the benefits to this tuning include -

Lifetime warranty (no cost or fees)

Lifetime updates for all future mods ($45 shipping and handling fee)

Lifetime full price paid credit toward your next custom tune for your next vehicle ($45 shipping and handling fee)

No vehicle downtime for more vehicles! You will receive your recalibrated PCM before sending your core back. Want to upgrade this for other mods in the future? No downtime here either! The same thing can be done for this too. Cores are in short supply for some of the late model vehicles so you may need to send your computer in.

Tuning can be done for the octane that you use

Dual octane tunes are available

3D Mapping is available to increase gas mileage.

Plus much more!

HORSEPOWER GAINS:

Customers have been seeing about 24-34hp from the 5.3 28-50hp from the 6.0 and 25-55 horsepower from the 8.1 motor. The spread depends on how aggressive the tuning is along with other modifications that are done to the vehicle. Fine tuning for other mods will sometimes make more of a different than just running those with the stock programming.

More details can be seen in the Truck Ignition section of our website. Orders can be placed online or by calling 1-877-4-TBYRNE (1-877-482-9763). A custom tuning form will be sent to you have your order is placed and each 10 order will be free!

Have a good day!

Does Westers offer a tune for the new DOD 5.3's in the 2007 Tahoes yet? I didn't see it listed on the web site and seeing as mine is supposed to be delivered to the dealer tomorrow, I am already getting the "itch" to start improving it. :banghead:

Any insite would be appreciated!

I'll just need your vin number to check on that. I don't think it will be a problem.

Can a Wester's tune and the associated benefits be transferred to a new owner if I sell the truck?

Yes, it can. All you have to do is pay shipping and Westers will retune your new truck. :happysad:

That is great news!!!! I pick up the new ride on Monday (it's still going through dealer prep today) - so I'll be able to drop you an email with the vin after that.

Thanks!!! :happysad:

They would need to swap computers with them so you put a stock tune back in the truck. This way the purchase price for tune #1 could be applied towards the next one. Not sure what would happen if you want to keep the tune in when you sell the vehicle. Haven't come across that yet but I'll take a look into it.

Actually, here's the question I have not been able to get answered. I bought a truck with a Westers tune installed in it. The seller advertised the tune and the ability for me to retune it as part of the sale. I'm trying to find out if he was mistaken or not?

I'm okay with the truck for now, but what if I change tire sizes or install some other performance goodies? Can I get it retuned for the price of shipping, or will it cost me the full monty again?

On a different note, can anyone tell me what the current tune includes? Lyndon said I should look at the original "tune sheet", but neither I nor the seller have this. Doesn't Westers (or the shop who sold the tune) keep records?

The tunes are only covered for the clients that they are sold to. The free upgrades don't carry over to the new owner. The person that you purchased the truck from might be able to tell you what he had it programmed for.

Hope this helps!

It doesn't. :D

Is the answer you provided documented anywhere? Finding documentation on Westers' policies has proved nearly impossible. :driving:

Then again, maybe it doesn't matter. If they're not willing to retune it for me, then it's not going to get retuned.

This answer came directly from the owner of Westers. The tuning follows the person that origionally purchased it. He/she could have sent that computer in to receive one with a stock tune then the purchase price of the first one would have been applied to tuning for the next vehicle.

Right, but he didn't. Why should Westers care if I use the retune benefit or the other guy? As long as there's only one beneficiary per purchased tune, they shouldn't care. :driving:

I've found that alot of warranties/upgrade offers only follow the owner (not the product).
