Fuel pump

I just swapped out my fuel pump assembly with a used one. Mine is the 5.7L and this one came from a 4.3L. The sending unit reads about 1/2 tank too much now. Is it a calibration deal or do I need to pull the tank and put my original sending unit back on?

Pulled the tank and swapped sending units. Works fine now.

Lets hope I don't loose this pump like some of the stories I have read about here!

Also installed new fuel filter. Looks to be the original at 116K miles.

Read about the fuel filter replacement here causing premature pump failure. I would not have thought of that. Lots of good info and people out there.
