bye bye 2001 - hello 2006

OK - after going through 5 cars this year, my dealer has officially cut me off from buying anymore vehicles for the rest of the year. However, that didn't stop me from taking advantage of the 0% thing last week.

 

the result: 2006 GMC sierra extended cab. I always wanted a blue car, and now I have one!

I'ts kinda cool to drive a vehicle that has no scratches, dings, dents, or pits in the windshield for once, and I'm loving the metal flake in the paint. never had that before either.

Just wondering why you got rid of your '01?

Beside the obvious....nice shinny, brand new truck................doesn't seem like much has changed on them..........the interior looks just about the exact same as an '01.

Has the dirve train gotten exceptionally better on the '06?

the reason for the change was the 0% financing. (well moving from a 4.8 to a 5.3 might have had a bit to do with it as well, but I'm not telling) I actually had just picked up the 01 a few weeks earlier (54 days to be exact)

 

I was upside down in the 01 by about 6 grand due to problems with my jeep, which I traded in. It just came down to basic math. moving to an 06 costs me about $70 a month, and the money I save in interest was just about equal to what I was upside down.

 

I really liked my 01, and if this no interest thing would'nt have come along, I'd still be driving it.
