OEM folding hard tonneau cover

I have ordered a folding aluminum GM tonneau cover for my 2005 Crew Cab LT with the 5' 8" bed. They did not have separate models for beds with & without the plastic covers on the side of the cargo box and the top of the tailgate. My LT has the protective pieces on all three sides and I wonder if I will have to remove them for installation. Anyone used one yet?

It should bolt right up just fine. There's usually a few mm's worth of clearance for things like that. I had a Peragon cover which bolted up to what I had on the rails. ( http://www.peragon.com/ for reference.)
