Greetings new to the forum and have a problem/question already...

I filled up w/E 85 gas instead of Regular 87 Octane gas and now my engine light has lite up after 30 miles of driving. My dealer said 'empty tank and hopefully there will be no damage to the "sensors"'.

I tried syphoning the old way, no luck, tried disconnecting the hose right off the filler tube to syphon and again no luck getting tube into tank.

So no what do i do? Take it to the dealer or just run the tank dry? I put 100 - 200 miles on a day so i'll empty the tank fairly quick.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I am assuming your vehicle is not made for E85. If not run it dry, and don't run it anymore. 1 tank won't ruin it. The E-85 is very corrosive. If you continue to run it you will probably damage and corrode stuff.

Yes, that fuel is corrosive, but running one tank of it through your motor wont hurt. run it to about half a tank, and fill with good fuel, and keep doing it. The codes your probably throwing are probably having to do with injector duty cycles, as it requires loads more E85 to make the same power than normal gas...dont worry, drive happy.
