broken hazard switch

the hazard switch on my 1997 2500 sierra broke on me and i have been tod that the only way to replace it is to replace the entire column around the steering wheel...they wont just order me the switch. i found the part number for an S10 so i assume i can find one for my struck as well.

i was hopine you could tell me if the S10 hazard switch is the same for my my 2500, and if not, how can i get the part number for mine...mabye you have it?

  I own a 2014 Silverado LT std cab, std bed. My only option to replace it is the work truck. I've spent some time on the GM build and price trying to figure out if I can get something I'd be happy with. I think I have. The only 2 things I'm seeing I can't get is remote start and power drivers seat. Looks i can get remote start after market. Any thoughts on this appreciated. Here's a pic of the build from GM's build site.

  The point is the purpose for the range on the dipstick is for expansion of the oil as it gets hot.

  Yea, not the reason. There is a nominal 1 quart/liter range on that stick. (Autos/light trucks) Some small metrics are a 1/2 liter. Gives a fella an idea how much to add. Your book should say something like, "Add when the level falls to the lower mark". Does in every one I've owned.
