GM recommends dielectric silicone grease, thats what I use. Out of the tube in little dots on the stripping, then rub in with a rag.

Duragloss makes a product in a Yellow spray can called Ultimate Detail. I think they have recently renamed it but it is still in a yellow can. It is excellent on any rubber product and is primarily a silicone spray. It is also a miracle worker under your hood on any and all plastic parts, door jams, etc. etc.

Just remember NOT to use any products containing silicon on your tires. Silicon traps dirt into the rubber permanently, it also seals the surface of the tire causing dryrot from the inside out. Believe it or not your tires need to "breathe". I recommend Son-of-a-gun Protectant, it contains no silicons, washes clean with soap, looks awesome!
