Rubber Trim

One of the ~1" X 30" wide rubber trim strips that hide the weld seam above the extended cab windows and the roof on my truck came off (i.e., the rubber trim pieces that run parallel to the windows and are right above them).  I tried putting new 2-way trim tape on it but it won't adhere to the rubber trim piece due to remnants of the original tape.  Efforts to clean off the old and get new tape to stick have been in vain.

 

I guess I need to buy a new one but can't come up with the part number.  Could somebody please look it up for me.  Thanks in advance.

Rick, the same thing happened to mine a couple years ago.  Like you, double sided tape didn't last long, so I went to NAPA and bought a tube of Emblem & Trim Adhesive.  This stuff is strong.  I tried it, and it hasn't loosened up since.  It's in a tube like glue.  

 

You might want to give that a try.  Sorry, I don't know a P/N for the trim.  ???

3M also makes a good adhesive remover too. You might give that a try on the old part.
