howling rearend 04 2500HD

trying to pinpoint a constant sshhh noise coming from under the truck when driving normal speeds.It starts from the time I take off till the time i stop I also have another noise when I take off from start I have almost a howling noise or a noise that sounds like a granny in 4 low but Im in 2 wheel drive noise seems to only be there wuntil it shifts to 2nd but also does it in reverse Ive got 4:10 rears with a locker but when I have my buddy drive my truck by me it sounds like the rearend . Hate to ramble on like this but just trying to get an idea what it could be before it goes to the dealer on wednesday

Next door neighbor's cat!!! He's a FORD guy.

 

Maybe low or tainted fluid in the rear end. Either one or a combo of the two could lead to your symtoms. Had the same thing happen on an old doodoo dodge. Good luck.
