ZR Rider Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Hey guys, it pays to keep the digital in the truck!! Coming home Friday night and happened see these 2 trucks trying not to stick out!! I would think they should take the tape off as to not draw attention!
ZR Rider Posted July 31, 2006 Author Posted July 31, 2006 See the NAV screen in the Silverado!! They are not as bad looking as the red pics we all saw when it surfaced a few months ago! But the front end is huge!!!
pwall Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 The front grill on the 3rd picture makes me think of a ford truck.
jcchevy Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Good Job!! yeh looks much better then the red one...interior would be something to get use to.. Did anybody come out yelling to not take pictures...
jaslo Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 The Gmc looks almost like the chevy, I thought they were going to make them look different? These trucks were just sitting in the parking lot all by themselves?
ZR Rider Posted July 31, 2006 Author Posted July 31, 2006 Sort of! I have a feeling there were out road testing and stopped for a coffee (Tim Horton's rocks in Canada) and they were parked at the back end of the parking lot. And I happened to come in the back way! Almost drove over a curb when I saw them sitting there! No yelling, snapped the pics and hauled ass! LOL Then Sunday morning I saw the Silverado again around 7:30 am on another road trip. I will look for them again tonight as I have yet another ball game! (ball tournament all weekend!)
PELICAN Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Thanks for taking the pictures. I like the looks of the GMC.
Elwood 2000 Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Maybe it is just me, but this looks like the new model based on the 81-87 generation of trucks. They are slowly growing on me, especially the GMC. Thank so much for sharing the pics.!
ZR Rider Posted August 1, 2006 Author Posted August 1, 2006 <{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/right] Port Perry Ontario Canada, 30 miles north of Oshawa where the GM Crew Cab short boxes are built!
Wingnut Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 I don't think they CAN stop you from taking the pictures, nor from publishing them. Once you enter the public domain you have no reasonable expectation of privacy...You can take pictures of celebrities in their crappy sweatpants walking out of Ben and Jerry's, and you can take pics of stuff in the parking lot of a coffee shop. Oh wait...That's the US, not sure about Canada's privacy laws. Good pics though man, thanks
djgj200 Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 4th picture looks like a ram. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was going to say the same thing. They are like the exact same taillights as the Dodge Ram.
ZR Rider Posted August 1, 2006 Author Posted August 1, 2006 Well, if they didn't want us to see the truck, maybe they should have stayed on the test track. Open season I figure! It's just sitting there, no signs saying don't look at it! LOL Lets hope they pile a huge amount of miles on these and do a good shake down on the pre-production, get all the bugs out. I won't be shopping for awhile for one, mine hasn't had the new rubbed off yet, besides, I think the front of mt Silverado looke better!! LOL
ChevyotaZ71 Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 That's a beautiful truck ZR, looks identical to mine except u have a bug guard which i don't yet. Did you, or are you, going to take that little plastic valence off of the underside of the bumper? It bothers me and I really want to, but I think I'll crank my torsion bars a bit first.
OnyxMAX Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 i see their keeping the 5 spoke = chevy and 6 spoke = gmc wheels. holy tac size batman. i like having a tac but geez it's almost as big as the frontend. alot of cars and trucks are getting biger front ends. pedistrian impact law changes. gg goverment regulation. honestly in them pics i thought the gmc was a ford superduty. not sure i like the '77 dodge like small gauges packed off to the sides with cutouts. p.s. GM bring back the real center console not that tacky add a piece you have in them trucks. you got 6 inches of wasted space there that would make a nice cubby hole for cells and handheld gps. leave the headlight switch a big nob and not that flimsy rotating dial like thing. rest seams ok except put the oh!! s**t!! bar back on the pasanger side.
