well the canuck dollar is better, not so at dealers hasn't change the prices any, go figure.

40000 in the USA equals 45000 CDN, which is 10000 less then I can talk the b-gg-ers down to up here in snowsville.........lol.

Knowing I just can't buy and fly in a day, anyone know the rules and regulations about cross border shopping for vehicles, like duty, having to stay in the USA for X amount of days etc.

Hey anyone need a border to cut grass, clean windows and take out the garbage for a month...... :banghead:

Fully loaded  06 LBZ Ally crew sb 4x4 60 to 63000...........jeezes, #$$^%^ ^*&(&^ **&^%$%

I'm not sure how it works in Canada, but if an American were to buy a vehicle in Canada, then bring it over, it would be considered a gray-market vehicle. That lowers the resale, makes financing very difficult (If not impossible), and can cause a headache if you live in an area that requires smog checks (I'm looking at you, California).

Several years ago I bought a 1979 Mercedes 6.9 that was imported from France. If it wasn't a fairly rare collector car, I wouldn't even consider bothering with a gray market car.

Like I said though, that's if an American were to import a car. Canadian law is probably different.

Some items to consider as well. When you go to license the vechicle, will they charge you GST on the 'book' value of the vechicle ?

Also, check with your local dealership to see if the manufacturers warrently will be in effect. I've heard reports where you may not have a warrenty as it's not being used in the country it was sold.
