I like mine, what are you looking at LT LS EXT V8 I6 4x4???

I have a fully loaded EXT LT 5.3L. I test drove 5 before I picked this one. The 5.3L is not what made me buy. It was the EXT. The EXT felt more stable. The LT package has all the good toys, heated seats, memory, 6 disc in dash changer, heated mirrors with turn signal lights, Homelink, voice recorder, etc.

I'd say depending on what size and package you wanted, just test drive them all.

I just recently switched from an 03 Tahoe to an 05 Trailblazer ext I-6 4x4. I'm very happy with mine. Provides all the comforts and space of the tahoe with a cheaper payment and better MPG. The only thing the Tahoe had over the TB was a tiny bit better performance, towing ability, offroad capability. None of which are a big deal to me. The TB still performs great and the 4x4 is really only used for winter driving. I'm very happy with my TB.

The mileage is ok, I get 13-14 city and 15-18 on the highway.

I took two 5 passanger TBs for a ride. The 5.3L Engine feels more "torquey" As does the front end suspesion that holds it.

But I went with the EXT.

Now if/when the 08-09 TB comes with a 6 speed auto and DOD. Then we'll get in the 20's for MPG Thats nice, even when gas will be 5 bucks a gallon.

Had my 03 LTZ for three years and 95k.Only major repair is the fan clutch. I have had issues with the memory mirrors. They have amnesia and will not return to the set position on every start-up. On hiway trips 70-75 mph I can get 23 mpg. I have the I6 and I think it is a terrific engine. Smooth with adequate torque. I am not a hot rodder so the 6 accelerates and tows just fine. The only thing now is the speedometer. It is not working properly and is intermitent. When I get time I will have to remove it and send to be repaired. Just have not had time. My 4x4 works well. I am not an off roader but sell real estate and sometimes cruise land. Have used it hunting also. This is my second SUV 4x4 and it whips my old Jeep GC hands down. What a money pit that was. I f you buy used, make sure it is an 05 built after July. Most of the problem areas were addressed then.

Far be it for me to be a voice of dissent, but I'll add my impression from driving one:

Borrowed one from work, I6, 4x4, not sure of the rear gear ratio, but it turned fewer RPMs @70 mph than my Grand Prix, and that's got a 2.93 final drive! Anyway, the TB I drove just seemed like it had NO get-up-and-go, either from a stop or to get out and pass. Perhaps it was just THAT particular setup in that particular TB, but frankly, I was unimpressed with it.
