A little help please!

I have a 99 burban that is 4wd and I want to lay it out. I was told that the easiest way to do that was to swap frames from a 2wd burban or any 1500. Any advice would be helpful, really dont want to get in over my head, ya know. Here's a pic of the truck so you can see how it sits now...I relly need to eliminate some space between me and mother earth:)

Have you thought about finding a 2wd burb, taking what you want from your current truck and selling the rest of it? A body swap is a nightmare. You need to confirm which frames will fit that body, if any. The floor pan may be different enough that the swap will not work at all. I am guessing that at best the frame from another burb and maybe an extended cab short bed might fit.

Yeah I thought about just getting a 2wd burb, but I'm just really fond of this one. You know how it goes, you start a project and something forces yoy to part with it before it's done. I just really want to finish this one. Thanks for the advice.
