WIRING FROM INSIDE TO ENGINE COMPARTMENT

Ok i want to install my first amplifier and i need to run the power wire from inside the truck to the positive terminal on the battery, i want the wiring to be only on the drivers side, i wanted to know if anyone knows if ther is a factory hole somewhere under the steering wheel where i can feed the wire through, some one out there please help me. the vehicle i am doing this on is a 2001 extended cab silverado.

yah just pull the floor back its kinda by the p break if you get it too close it will cause the brake light on the dash not to light up. I have a 2awg and it took me a lil to figure that out. There should be a small dip in the floor that you can fit several wires in just put some tape over it so its in the dip.me i just stabbed the hell out of the rubber gromet to get the two power wires through. Got one 1750watt kicker amp and a 350watt 2 channel Stock recharge system is holding up for about 2 months now. Good spot is under the passenger seat since most have that air bag module under the drivers side. Theres a few places hell ive got a 15" kicker and it looks totaly stock

OK the one you are talking about its on the floor right not on the fire wall, if its that hole there is only one thick wire or something going trough it, if the one i am talking about is the right one will a 4awg wire fit through it or will i have to cutthe rubber gromet
