Stereo won't accept CD's, Fixable?

This is my first time here, thanks for any help in advance.

 

I just bought an 05 Silverado. It has the CD/Cassette player. It won't accept a CD when you try to insert it. If I hit the CD eject button I can hear the motor turning to eject if something were in there. It just doesn't pull CDs in.

 

I had this problem with an aftermarket stereo in my jeep and it had a reset that I had to push and that made it work again.

 

Is there such a way to "reset" the stock unit or do I just need to get a new one?

I had a similar problem with mine. I disconnected the batteries for a little while. When I reconnected them, everything worked fine.
