That must have been some big goddamn hail! Same thing happened to me after I'd had mine for about 9 months. Hail was probably inch or so in diameter, left a lot of dings, but they aren't noticable unless you're either looking for them or you've just cleaned it.

Those on your truck are huge! Insurance gonna take care of it?

I called the insurance company on thursday but they are so busy with all the claims from that day they haven't made it out to look at the truck yet. I hope they get around to it soon.

That really sucks. We did not get the bad hail down here the other night but it did get pretty ugly. I heard that the Northfield area got crushed. I work with a guy whose dad called him after the storm. His dad is in construction in Northfield and he had baseball sized holes through the roof of his construction trailer.

I was at work 30 miles away so I don't even know how big the hail was. I guess alot of people with cars had the back windows shattered and some of the buildings had the windows shattered too.

When I was at Ft. Lennard Wood Missouri {sp?} They had a fleet of Newer Avalanches, for the NCO's and Training Cadre to drive around the base. Well about a year ago they went thru a hail storm too, and their hoods looked 3 times as bad as that, but the rest of the truck was prefectly fine. I wondered why they never got new hoods.

That sucks though, hopefully insurence comes thru. The largest we've had around here was maybe the size of marbles, and they melted in no time. I think it was considered "sleet".

This sucks. I have seen damage like this about 14 years ago in Central Florida when Orlando was hit by golfball size hail. Thousands of cars and trucks were badly damaged.

The only good news is that you do not have to worry about the door dings until the truck is repaired.

Ouch !!! is all I can say.

I got caught in a real bad hail storm in Casper, WY about 1986 driving up I-25. Most of the hail stones were marble sized but then golf ball sized ones started to hit. I just made it under a gas station overhang when all hell broke loose. When I got home 2 of the 3 skylights in the house I was renting were broken. Not a leave to be found on any tree or bush and the edges of all the asphalt shingles hanging off the edge of the roof were broken off. Some hailstones break apart when they hit something hard, but this was a real cold thunderstorm and then just bounced off things like steel balls. Scary as hell, deafeningly loud banging against the sheet metal.

Good luck with the insurance.

I just heard that they had baseball sized hail in the Dakotas this week. The damage must be severe.
