General Lee 01 Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Great shot! I wouldn't have resisted the opportunity to jump off the back into the sand and see how far I'd slide/roll down. The tailgate would've made a perfect "diving" board (to jump off of of course, non of that jumping bouncity bouncity stuff on a tailgate ). I guess that's why nobody ever takes me to any type of dunes with them.

In the ORV area you have to stay close to the truck, there are a lot of other vehicles zipping over the dunes. This was the steepest dune in the park and this picture was taken right after we drove up and over, stopping at the top for the view... 10 pounds of air in the tires, 4low on the slush box, and a heavy right foot can take you anywhere you want to go! nxtnlne Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Nice family.... Wonder if my stock truck would high center on that hill?
srlbotanical Posted September 18, 2006 Author Posted September 18, 2006 Nice family.... Wonder if my stock truck would high center on that hill? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks! I am pretty close to stock with only my t-bars cranked and an add-a-leaf. If I slow down too soon I high center. You just need enough momentum to blast over the ridge. That's the nice thing about sand...its real soft. No trail rash! Lots of stock trucks can be seen driving on the dunes. They do fine. Steve

If i remember correctly it only takes about 6psi to hold the tire on the rim. Jim
M J Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 lowest ive ever seen hold the bead was 8psi on BFG MT's, ill have to try 6 one day
