Driver Side Mirror

The glass on the driver's side mirror on our '01 Suburban is busted. I figured out how to take just the glass unit out. My question is, is there any place besides dealer to find this part. I'm assuming just the glass unit can be ordered. On the back of the mirror it says "GENTEX" with number R4321. The mirror is heated. Thanks for any help.

I would check with your local junk yard or e-bay.

The mirror glass it not a serviceable part at the dealer. Must buy whole mirror. Whole mirror is pretty expensive.

Not true all the time. Last year I replaced the glass on my passenger mirror and I ordered just the glass from a dealer. It was around $40 IIRC. Don't have a part number but you could email partzoneonline.com and they will give you the part number.

Maybe it is true now, but about a year ago it was not a serviceable item.

 

Worth a call to the dealer.

The glass should be replaceable through the dealer. I had mine done under wtty and only the glass (heated with signal) was replaced.
