06 5.3 making strange engine noise

my 06 has a noise that sounds like a buzzer when under load at 1800 rps. its very strange. sounds like a horn or buzzer under the hood. very noticable when going up hills. any ideas?

i know its been a while but i finally got a chance to bring it into the dealer. they say its a bad torque converter. they say it should be done tomorrow. hopefully that will fix it.
