Duramax aftermarket exhaust - asking for trouble?

I'd really like a new stainless exhaust with the cat delete, but I'm concerned.

The MBRPs with the downpipe seems to have a solid downpipe with no flexpipe... I've always thought that you were supposed to have a flexpipe with a turbo... is this not needed on the duramax?

I don't want anything real loud, I like the OEM sound actually but I'd like to remove the cat and have a more free-flowing exhaust... is the MBRP okay? I'd just as soon have it quiet as stock if that were an option, but it doesn't seem to be.

If I'm not mistaken, there are several after market exhaust mfgs for diesel's. Banks & BullyDog come to mind.

Check out The Diesel Place HERE for more info on what folks are using, like, dislike.

I wouldn't recommend removing the cat.
