PIAA or Silverstar bulbs?

Absolutely.  I use the PIAAs on my bike, it's safety not a luxury.  They plug right in just like stock ones.

Thanks.

PIAA's are pretty bright....

I have used a bunch of different brands... I'm a bit addicted to lights

If you are looking for brightness I'd go with EuroDeZigns Krypton 8500K... and you can get a High/Low (9006/9005) combo for $43 shipped. They arent as blue as the pics they use, but they are REALLY BRIGHT... Brighter than PIAA... I have had both of them

If you are looking for really blue headlights... Luminics. They arent as bright, but they are nice and blue, and still brighter than stock

you can find them on ebay as well

anyone have questions on lights... I might be able to help you... I am a LIGHT FIEND

I just installed Silverstars on my Sierra last night and they made a huge difference. It looks awesome too driving towards the truck. Alot of people use them on this ss forum I visit regularlly. I think I paid around $35 bucks at walmart, and only took maybe 10 minutes at that.

If you do get them, do not touch the bulb with your fingers, oil will rub onto the bulb and either burn out or explode in a matter of days. At least that's what I was told.....

Touch, since you offered, I do have a question.

Do the PIAAs, Siverstars and the other you mentioned last as long as regular bulbs? I run CARQUEST True Views (supplied by Wagner) in my work van and really like them but I know they are not in the class of what you are speaking of but they do not cost nearly as much either.

I am considering an upgrade on my Wife's Yukon XL for safety only. She travels some at night on deer infested roads and I do not mind spening the money if they will help. BTW, I am pretty impressed with the factory lights on this truck, they seem to do very well but I am always open to something better.

Just like any other bulb... they last very long as long as you do not touch the actual bulb glass with your fingers. The oil from your skin under high temperature causes the bulb to blow. I have never had a bulb "shatter" like some claim, but i have had 1 go out.

The EuroDezugns 8500K are by far my favorite out of all the ones I have tried. They are the brightest and project the furthest. In my GMC Jimmy I have gone from Stock to PIAA, to Silverstar, to Eurodezigns, to Luminics then back to Eurodezigns

As far as the "deer safety" I drive a lot of back roads, and with the Euro's in my headlights (highs+lows) and in my foglights... it turns to daytime and lights up the whole road..... all you need to do is a little headlight aiming/adjusting to your taste

I hooked up my brother with the eurodezigns headlight/foglight package on his 07 Silverado and he said it made a world of difference in brightness... let alone the fact that he has that nice slight blue HID look

Touch....I have a question for you.

*sorry for the hi-jack*

After market fog lamps, I have a late model 2000 Yukon and the stock fog lamps just plain suck. I would like to up grade them but have no idea what fits well in that spot. Is there anything that is a common use to replace the stock fog lights, the whole light and not just the bulb.

Thanks!

C&A's dad,

I had the Silverstar bulbs in my truck before the Suburban and I forgot how big a difference they made. I just put some in my burban this past week, and did alot of night driving over the holliday weekend, and wow, it really lit up the Highway. I don't see great at night, but with these in the Lowbeams, it was like daytime to me, also.

I plan on replacing them in my Wifes Minivan and also putting them in my Fog Lights, as the Really white light from the low beams looked wierd with the Yellow light from the fogs, so I will be replacing them.

They are worth the money, as I also did it for the Safety, not the look. i saw that Target has them for about 35, instead of 39 as most of the parts stores do.

depends.... is it the fact that the bulb is just plain not bright at all??? or is it the fact that the fog housing does not project well
