p0440 & p0446

Well, I took my '02 Tahoe in a few weeks ago, spent hundreds of $$ to fix the P0440 evap problem, it was a 'fuel purge solenoid & gas cap". Today my light came on, they told me it is a P0446..NOT related. Is this true? they say its the 'fuel pressure regulator,". do u know if there is any relation to the two... i know nothing about this. (im a girl and dont want to get ripped off!)

No it's not true. It's Evap related. Make sure your gas cap is on tight and have your obd codes reset. Try this first. Your local auto parts store should be able to reset the codes for free. Let me know how this works for you. O'ya find a new mechanic, Your current one charged you too much money just to replace a purge solenoid.
