Who needs a Duramax or Big Block?

Well, it got it home, still working fine and everything, but my Dad finally conceded he needs more motor. He was planning on getting a new truck this summer, and he didn't realize he could get more than a 6.0 in a HD2500.

When are the HD's scheduled to start showing? He really likes the new interiors and is thinking of waiting for the new ones to show.

Nice!!! :chevy: How much did that stuff weigh?

No clue. His usual hay load, with 160 regular bails at 80 to 100 lbs, sits about the same on the truck. Not sure what the trailer weighs, but that is 12,000 to 16,000 pounds of hay, when he does a regular load. Usually just short 10 mile or less trips to get the hay home.

Looks like giant Rice Krispy Treats.

Nice looking setup.

Seems like I read elsewhere on this site that 8.1's are still offered in the 2007 GMT-800 2500HD, but no news yet on whether the 8.1 will be offered in any GMT-900. Anybody have the whole story?

Another thread said that the 8.1 will NOT be offered in the 900s. The author cited a seemingly credible source from GM. I don't have an official release, but I've read similar sentiments on other places on the web.
