Fuel System Cleaner

I've talked to some people that swear by this stuff (specifically Prestone) and others that consider it a big waste of $$.

 

Any thoughts pro or con?

I have always used gumout or techron.....in everything (cars,trucks, harley & boat) once a year and have never had a fuel injector issue.

I know I had those guys at Jeffy Lube do that fuel injector cleaner and it literally added 3-4 mpg on the highway. So I amagine doing it two-three times a year would really help. You need to get all the gunk out of you injection system.

I run Techron from time to time in my truck.

Techron is the way to go for normal maintenance. Gumout and MMM have an equivialent and I am told they buy it from Chevron and it is exatly the same a Techron. The trick is if the cleaner cost a couple of bucks it it not worth the effort. You will see where Gumout's and MMMs premium stuff cost about the same as Techron. We sell lesser cleaners but I prefer Techron.

 

Remember, there are many chems made to sell, but only a couple made to use. Techron is one of those made to use.
