Forum Traffic

i was wondering why this forum seems to have less posting than some of the other truck related forums out there.  This site seems to be very well run and set up, much better IMHO than some forums which get more traffic (or at least more posts).  All of the info here seems to be reliable and useful, with no useless posts.  i would think that an all encompassing GM truck site would have more traffic/posts than a forum limited to only offroad or street or fullsize or sport trucks, etc.  just wondering...

We are getting more and more traffic every day.  I'm sure Mervz could provide the numbers to prove that.  One must remember that this is a very new forum, about a year old.  We are still getting our name out there and building a reputation for ourself.  Come back when we have been around for the same length of time as the other forums have and I will bet you will be pleasantly surprised.

All in all, the rest of the moderators have been well pleased with the way things have been going here.  This site has been growing much faster than we originally predicted it would.

I think a majority is because this site is still fairly new compared to alot of other sites, atleast the ones I go to anyways.  Alot of the places I visit have been around for well over 3 years and have had alot of time to attract members.  Thats my $.01.   ;)

Maybe some people don't like the seriousness of this site.  I for one appreciate it.  This is by far the best site for us GM owners.  One thing I have noticed is that everyone here is respectful to one another.

Wahooo!!!!!  This is post 100!!!!!!

And that is the way we intend to keep it.  A site where respect towards one another is the norm and not the exception.  Keeping serious here has its place, but having fun is also important!

You beat me to it JP!

Although, look at my choice of avatar.  :(

I couldn't agree with JP more.

Even though we have our moments, we still try to keep things as serious as possible but have fun at the same time.

If we do have any non-sense, it's very few and very far between.

And Tom, don't feel so bad, my avatar isn't exactly the perfect choice niether. ;)

I like the seriousness over here.

Fullsizechevy.com has a TON of posts and replies, but most of them are goof-off replies..    Theres alot of good info here without the extra garbage.

Props to the admins for making such a good site icon14.gif

I ditto everyting that has been said before plus judging by the jobs everyone has posted , not everyone has all day to be posting. Posts are good quality and fun!!

Keep up the good work!

If you're comparing it to fullsizechevy they have only 400 some members but 90% of the stuff they talk about is just BS.  If you ever really look the majority of the posts are just 10 guys and usually just bickering back and forth.  I like this forum more because it's 90% information and when you ask a serious question you'll get the answer you need almost right away w/o getting a lot of stupid remarks.

Very true.  When I first joined I asked a question, and Jeff was back to me with a great answer within a half hour.

Thanks for the comments guys, but lets refrain from comparing to other sites.
