Engine Dies when coming to a stop

2001 GMC Sierra K1500, 5.3L. 75k miles

 

This is the first time this has happened to me. I left work, coming to a full stop 5 minutes later the engine died. I restarted and at the next few stops it would die. When I got home I shut it off for a few minutes, restarted, and it idled like it always does. The engine ran fine on acceleration and cruising speeds.

3 years ago, I had a sticky gas pedal and the dealership did the throttle body update under warranty. 2 years ago and up to now, my truck only idles at about 500rpm.

I cleaned the throttle body out with carb cleaner. It seems that warmed up the truck idles about 150rpm higher. I will post tonight after I put some miles on it.
