GM CAT BACK EXHAUST

Recommended Posts

Got my new 07 Denali xl today and love the new sound the exhaust makes. I saw a GM parts option to add a cat back exhaust system and wondered if anybody has done it yet. And if so whats it like. I think the Escalade is a little louder and throaty then the Denali and wonder if the cat back system GM offers makes the Denali sound like the escalade.

I have been curious about this as well for the truck Im about to order. I loved the CORSA on my Suburban, but if I can get them to do it for the same price, let GM fdo the work!

Denailjoe, do you happen to a GM part number for that exhaust? I have been looking for a Corsa for my '07 Denali XL and I thought they made the GM after market systems. I also had a Suburban with a Corsa (sport) and loved it. The Corsa site doesn't have a listing for my truck and they didn't respond to my e-mail.

I put the GM touring system on one of my 07 Escalade's, and after owning many Corsa systems the GM system looks like it was made by Corsa. It sounds great, no interior noise at all, and better SOTP feel, I hope to have the computer reprogrammed and put my Volant on in the next week or so. I was waiting for Corsa, went with the GM system and am very pleased

Here are the part numbers for the Denali and Denali XL for the performance or touring exhaust.

Denali:

Performance: 19156354

Touring: 19156353

Denali XL:

Performance: 19156352

Touring: 19156351

You can look them up on GMPARTSDIRECT.COM

I thought it was interesting that the touring exhaust is more expensive than the performance exhaust for the Denali.

My dealer told me that for the Escalade that Corsa makes the exhaust and Borla makes the exahust for the GMC's. I don't know if that is true or if he is just BS'ing

I was leaning towards just getting the performance exhaust for my 07 Denali and then going wih the DUB CAI versus the Volant just becuase I like the looks of the DUB versus the Volant. Dunno if it really makes a difference in SOTP or real dyno numbers which one you get though.

Hope this helps!!!

Any one have any feedback on this GM CAT System yet?

Did it affect low end?

I'm looking to increase the growl on my 07 Yukon Denli.

Thanks in advance,

Borla makes the GM cat back. I have talked to Borla on this. The only difference in the sport and touring muffler acording to Borla is the touring muffler is longer.

Have a great one,

Don
