When I get my 285's, I am going with the M\T challenger wheels and the Trxus tires, should I sell my stockers? If I do what would be a good price. I have 11,000 miles on the set. Thanks...........

VegasDude - you are killing me - I envy you a great set of wheels - I have the MT's - those are the tires of my dreams - can't fit yet - also trying to sell stock forged wheels in the "for sale" - no takers yet.

You got to post some pictures

I can't believe you are having trouble selling those stock wheels.  They were on constraint for a long time last summer, so there are alot of nice HD's running around with the chrome dishes on them.

Maybe you should try Ebay...

Shaners, Ok, I am still learning - I have the aluminum forged 16x6.5 8 lug wheels from my AV 2500 - not cast ones like the 1500. Are you saying that 2500HD's were shipped with non-forged wheels because of some inventory problem.

Yes, the aluminum HD 8-Lug wheels were on constraint for most of the summer.  There was some sort of supply problem and alot of well equipped trucks (LS models) did not have the option available.  All available wheels were shipped on the "LT" models because they were standard equipment, and what limited supply that was left was alloted to the LS models as the upgrade.

I actually saw loaded LS models on the lot with power leather etc... and they had the chrome rims....

I would think there would be alot of people out there that would want these wheels.  They are a beautiful wheel in my opinion, much nicer than the 6-bolt Silverado wheel.

I agree, the PYO's look great for a stock wheel, especially for no more then they cost as an option.  My biggest problem with them is that they are so dang narrow that you can't put a decent sized tire on it.  If you want to go to a 285 you really need to go buy a set of 16x8 rims.  So on top of having to get rid of the patheticly small stock tires you have to spend several hundred $$$ to get a set of aftermarket rims.  icon9.gif
