Truck Ramps

I know this is spec related to our trucks, but what the hey.

I have these old set of steal car /truck ramps that have worked great for everything I have needed them to. I dont want to get rid of them, but I run into them in the garage all the time! Does anyone have a good spot for some ramps when they are not using them?

Much appreciated!

My solution to just about anything under 50 pounds or so that I don't use very often...Is to hang that crap up on the ceiling. Things like ladders, ramps, 100' long power cords, etc. Hell, I've come pretty close to putting my air compressor up in a corner and building an isulated box around it so I don't have to hear it. Then I figured it would be easier to just stick it in the attic. Then I got lazy, and left it under the workbench

I agree with Wingnut (can't believe I just said that)...if they aren't that heavy they I would hang them up. I have built all sorts or racks on my garage ceiling to hold crap.

I hang mine up on the wall too. Both sets. I just put a deck screw through the drywall into a stud (very important)! Then hung them through a hole in the base of the ramp. I have a set I use for the Suburban and Tahoe and a set for my lowered cars.

If you live in the South, you could put them under the front porch

Or in the living room next to the engine on the engine stand thats being rebuilt.

Throw a couple saw horses under them and some plywood on top and presto...brand new dining room table...that's not right "Lord I apologize" :P

 Engine rebuilds take place on the kitchen island, and tranny rebuilds go in the tub.

If ramps must be used as an integral part of urban decor, it's almost a given that they either get used as end tables or supports for a glass cocktail table.
