odometer & transmission indicator

I just purchased a 2001 sierra 3500, The transmission indicator and the odometer are visible just when you turn the key slightly but go off in the run position. The not charging ligh is also on all of the time but the volt meter reads 14.5 volts and the fuel guage doesn't either. Does anyone have any ideas or has experence with these problems

Sounds like a possible ignition switch.
