Clay Bar

Washed the car today and tryed a Clay Bar before I waxed, I could not believe the road grime that came off the paint after a good wash job. I highly reccomend trying it for a deep shine.

Yeah I did it last fall on the Tahoe ,really turned out great and I did it

I did this last spring on my truck after a long winter, really made the paint shine again.

I did this also about six months ago and the results are really fabulous. I plan on doing it again once the weather clears up.

 

The recomended method goes like this:

1) wash

2) clay

3) Meguiar's 83 deep polish

4) Meguiar's Deep Crystal (or really any other less aggressive polish)

5) Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax

 

This will provide optimum shine, especially on an older truck with lower quality paint. I've found best results with foam bonnets. I'll post photos as soon as I finish.
