Whats the stock exhaust pipe size on a 06 single cab short bed 5.3?

For what it is worth - my '05 Suburban with a 5.3 had a 3" stock exhaust.

 

Replaced with 3" Magnaflow catback

I believe it is 2-3/4"......at least every GM truck i have had in the last few years has been

I have never seen this before........what makes you think its a 3"?
