Is it possible swap a duramax into a 02 gmc yukon

my mother has a 2002 GMC yukon with a vortec 5.3, she really wants to get a suv with a diesel engine. is it possible to swap the Duramax diesel engine into her yukon. i figure that the yukon is pretty much a GMC sierra and the sierra has the same engine as my mother's yukon (5.3 vortec) and the sierra has the duramax as a engine option. so it shouldn't be that hard to swap a duramax into the yukon. but this is just my reasoning. Is this actually something that has been done before ? and if so any links to information on a duramax swap would be much appreciated. thx

This is an article about Duramax conversion on a 2500 series Suburban, not a 1/2 ton 5.3L.
